I think you would end up spending less money and have a more efficient vehicle if you just bought a tamiya kit like an F-150 or Hummer for trail duty.

I have a shortened Clod body and TC3 I am doing the same thing with. Get the 200mm Rally kit, shave the chassis where the lower arms hit at full droop. Ditch the pede tranny and run the stock drivetrain, low COG. You can fit a decent spur gear on it by dremeling out the chassis, add a 65t lathe and 12 tooth pinion and you're good as far as gearing. I can't remember who has them but they do make spools for the TC3/TC4 that would be easier than trying to lock the diffs. This would also eliminate the plastic outdrives which are prone to breakage.

Did someone say my name?

this was all pre tlt/clod days for me of course.
You will spend some money or not have a very capable truck.
Irrang makes the spools( I have one for sale btw)
It was fun to play with at first then mostly frustrating. Once I stepped up to solid axle, it was no fun anymore.
I might even sell the axles too.

Not very good, depends on the tires you put on it.

No, the only thing that swaps between the 3 and 4 are the diff housings.

I don't have any pics of it, waiting until I get the spools to finish it. Still alot of smoothing out the body where I sectioned it too.
