Default What does it mean when they cut the boggers

Someones selling 2.2 swamp dawgs real cheap but he says that they're cut. What does that mean and is that a good thing? And can I put 2.2 tires on a 1.9 rim?

its just every other lug cut out for better traction. I wouldn't buy the swamp dogs just because there old and out dated I would get something more modern. As for the wheels. No. 1.9 Wheels go with 1.9 tires, 2.2 wheels go with 2.2 tires.

2.2's will not work on a 1.9 rim. The inner bead dimension is to big, the wheel will fall through it.

To Cut a tire, is to "usually" remove the smaller lugs.
Generally, it allows the tire to "grab" rocks better and "clear" mud out of the tread easier.
Sipping a tire, is to cut horizontal lines in the lugs. Also for better grip on rocks.
To Vent a tire, is to poke a hole in it to allow the air out. Which also helps on rocks.

Typically, "cut boggers" means that they have cut out the small lugs, like this:
