hubba hubba what?

I've never heard of a a axle 10 crawler or a novika motor, and whats a ECS

questions to answer, is your battery charged?
Is your stuff plugged right into the rx?
Do you have lipo cutoff turned off?
is your power switch turned on?
Did you plug the 3 wire connector into the rooster right?
Who told you to buy a rooster, use AM electronics, and i'm assuming a NiHm or NiCd battery?
And why are you typing in bold, centered font, its hard to read.

Slow down man, we'll help but you got to not rush the typing lol makes it hard to understand. So just go a little slower, don't get frustrated and explain what is happening and we'll try to pinpoint the problem and help

It sounds like he lost steering & ESC control.

OP, did this happen before or after you changed to the Rooster ESC & Novak motor?
If before, you may have a radio problem.
If after, you may have other issues.

What radio (brand & model) are you using. Saying the RX is from a Rustler won't help as we don't know if it's a stock one or not.

well. i got this ECS and the motor when i bought it. i bought it as a project i am new to crawling never even had a ECS like this with lipo and stuff so i am new too this.

i have only ever had a rustler the first one, and a traxxas slash 2WD with a XL-5. but then i learned i am not liking speed. i like taking the time to make it threw a course and not flip or something.

i am not sure what rx is or lipo cut off so if you guys can help me learn and teach me this and help me threw it i would REALLY like it and sorry for freaking out. i just wanna make sure i didn't waste my money

Ok it's ESC (Electronic Speed Control) not ECS and a Lipo cut off is a module that doesn't let ur Lipo battery drop below it's safety voltage level to keep from damaging the cells in ur battery.

is the crystal seated all the way in?
so
1. You could steer before? What esc did you have in then?
2. Could you move forward and reverse before, as well as steer?
3. Did it still move forward and reverse but no longer steer once you switched to the Novak?

What exactly is the time line of events here? Did it ever work correctly?

Channel 1 is always for steering
Channel 2 is always for throttle (esc)

It sounds like either ur TX and/or RX to me not ur ESC. Try to do process of elimination.

there's a sticky up top of the newbie section with definitions, I've only just looked at it for the first time myself after being around this stuff for how many years now????.....
It contains a lot of terms and definitions that are thrown around in the forum, however TX and RX are not there, most likely because most of us have been in the hobby forever and assume everyone knows TX is TRANSMITTER and RX is RECEIVER. Wrong assumption.
Hope you get this worked out and not get too frustrated, I know from memory waaay back in my youth how annoying electronics can be when nothing works as it should. Go about things in the right way and you'll find all the help you could ever ask for through this site. VOTE RCC #1 for PRIME-MINISTER, PRESIDENT, DICTATOR, KING, QUEEN, SUPREME OVERLORD.

Sounds to me that he needs to go through the speed control setup.

Here's the instruction manual http://www.teamnovak.com/download/in...er_crawler.zip

Here's the important part from the instructions:

With ESC connected to (at least) a receiver & a charged battery pack:
1. TURN ON THE TRANSMITTER’S POWER
2. PRESS & HOLD ESC’S ONE-TOUCH/SET BUTTON
3. TURN ON THE SPEED CONTROL’S POWER
With transmitter throttle at neutral, and still pressing the SET button,
slide the ESC’s ON/OFF switch to ON position.
4. CONTINUE HOLDING SET BUTTON UNTIL RED LED COMES ON
5. RELEASE SET BUTTON AS SOON AS LED TURNS RED
6. PULL TRANSMITTER THROTTLE TO FULL-ON POSITION
Hold it there until the green status LED turns solid green.
Note: Motor will not run during programming even if connected.
7. PUSH TRANSMITTER THROTTLE TO FULL-BRAKES
Hold it there until the green status LED blinks green.
8. RETURN TRANSMITTER THROTTLE TO NEUTRAL
Red status LED will turn solid red, indicating that speed control is at
neutral and that proper programming has been completed.
NOTE: If transmitter settings are changed, One-Touch Programming must be
repeated. If you experience any problems, turn off ESC & repeat One-Touch.

Try that and then reply back. Also, it may sound silly but is your battery charged????????

Did you recalibrate the ESC to the RX?
How do you have the motor wires attached to the motor? Maybe you have both wires to the same brush hood?
Would you take a picture of the end of your motor & post it so we can see?
