Default quick question

I have just built a custom scaler. custom frame, Venom crepper front and rear axles and tranny. Have a traxxas transmitter and reciever, LRP runner plus w/ reverse with a scx10 27t motor. I have charged the battery and i drive it from my front yard to my back yard and its pretty much dead already. I have to carry it back to the house. mind you my back yard is only like 40 to 50 yards. any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is in the wrong section just move to where its supposed to go. Thank.

grass has a higher rolling resistance than pavement that is why with your drift car you are getting better run time try getting a new battery with a higher mah with the lipo set up I have I am getting around 45 min with a 55t axial motor

I'll tell you this much....new batteries MATTER.

Ive got 2 2400 and 1 1500 NiCad that I got many years ago, and dont get much more than 5 minutes run time on my TB-01 right now.

Change them out and you should be good.

While a new/better battery may be great, did you check the basics?

No binding in the axles?
Pinion gear mesh not waay too tight?
How heavy is the rig?
How tall is the grass?
What battery connectors are you using? (If Tamiya's, they can get hot & fail)
What motor connectors are you using? (Tamiya's and some bullet connectors get hot & fail)
What charger are you using? Hopefully something better than a "wall wart"

Check the basics, make sure the battery is fully charged and try again.

Good idea to check all the other stuff but 3000 mah is plenty for a 27t. you should get well over an hour + run time.
