Default noob question... best 2.2 wheel/tire for a txt?

ok im totally new at this stuff and didnt really know wether to put this here or newb general...

i wanna put 2.2s on my txt, but i dont know what wheels or tires i should get. i dont know what size hexes txts have what wheels to put on them and what tires perform well on the terrain around here... lots of sandstone and dirt, pretty slick most of the time.

any help is appreciated, thanks

Scott, you'll probably want to go with any one of the tall Imex tires. All-Ts, 2.2 redrocks, or pullers. You will need the clearance under the diffs. Standard 2.2 wheels (rear stampedes for example) will fit right on your brass TXT hexes.

2.2 redrocks or moabs only choice if you ask me. moabs are better all around tire, and red rocks are great for sharp rock, everything else they do good, but i kind of wish i had a spare set of moabs to go on my emaxx.

awesome thanks a lot for the info on the stampede wheels! ive always heard that moabs are some of the best tires out there. but are they at the taller end of the 2.2 range? i realize im asking a lot of questions, i gotta search around more but you guys have been REALLY helpful so far!

Mashers are a tad taller than Moabs, and Mashers can work better than Moabs, it just depends where you're at.

Here's HPI Split 5 wheels with the inside bead removed. Which is not a good set up for the TXT.

I'd definately get the Stampede wheels.

i just ordered a set of stampede wheels and 2.2 moabs! i cant wait!!!!! although i just read the 2.2 red rock thread so i might wanna get a set of those too...

i have another question... is the backspacing on the pede wheels different than the txt wheels? cuz right now my tires hit my shocks when its twisted up good.

kinda ****ty pic but do you guys know what im sayin?

You shouldn't have any issues with rubbing. I've had pede rears and fronts on mine and didn't have any problems.
