Default Yep another noob..

Hi
Im Marty from Montreal Canada eh!
Just started in the RC world a couple of months ago, got a SC10, bunch of fun.. Jst got a AX10 RTR used for my 44th this week & already have a list full of questions.. So here a just a few..
Other than cuting up the tire foam, is there anything else I should do to start off .
Is there any specific parts that I shoul have extras in case of breaks.
Is there a huge driving difference if I would convert it to a SCX.. just a thought, like the look.....

Thats it for now..
Thanks

Its gettein cold up here

Welcome!!!

The AX10 is an excellent starter rig, recommend you look at some of the stickies in the AX10 forum, this will answer a lot of your questions.

Foams- It really depends on what kind of driving you are doing. The best best is to change out the stock tires and foams for something better.

AX-10 to SCX- They share the same power train, but they do not drive the same at all. You'll loose a lot of articulation but gain stability. If you make the conversion, save all of the parts, if you don't like it, change it back.

I don't believe I've broken anything on my AX-10 yet, but might wanna get yourself a small tube of medium threadlocker. The setscrews for the driveshaft yokes loosening seems to be a popular glitch. No need for a big bottle, just a drop'll do ya. Outside of that, drive and enjoy!
