The body and the wheelbase mainly is the difference. dingo is like 11.8ish and the honcho is 12.3

the Main difference besides the body is that the dingo has an 11.4" wheelbase and the honcho has a 12.3" wheelbase so basically the honcho will go up a steeper grade but the dingo will have a better breakover angle

Could you explain "breakover angle" please.

All the parts are basically the same, at least all the major stuff (axles, trans, frame, etc). The main difference is the body and and links.

All of the SCX-10's are basically the same with a few different parts here and there to make different versions/configurations.

As said, all the SCX10's are 98% the same. Different bodies and slight difference in wb (link lengths). The frames, drivetrains, shocks and stock electrics are all the same. Newer kits have better radio systems though. I'd say go with whichever one looks better to you (D90 or Tacoma). My first scaler was a mostly stock Dingo I got off ebay for $200, rtr with upgrades. I've been hooked ever since. The guys in my club who keep winning Class 2 have "mostly" stock Honchos, and I'm amazed at how well they crawl. You'll be happy either way.

The honcho is not discontinued it is just in the transistion period as they are redoing it with a few new features

Well it is the measure of a vehicle's ability to drive over a sharp ridge or ramp without touching it's chassis at all so a shorter wheelbase will result in a better breakover angle and a long wheelbase will climb steeper grades and here is an example of breakover angle:
