| Gluing Aluminum Rims
i have a beautiful set of aluminum rims for my clodbuster, but i was told gluing them with ca glue to my wheels wouldnt be as easy as with plastic. any tips or suggestions so i can use these rims on my crawler?

You should be able to glue them just fine, I had a set of aluminum rims for a large scale car of mine, the ca glue held fine.

did you clean them normally or did you do something special? i was told maybe a little sandpaper on the area im goona glue would really help. |

Yeah, I just sanded the rim lightly and the stuck fine. I ran them for a month or so, the actual rim broke in a crash and the tire was still attached. Im sure there may be a better glue for alum. but I've yet to find it(not like I have tried too much). But the best part of the alum rims... if it doesnt work you can take it back off pretty easy

I have a set of AL rims with bowties that I wanan sell I have them glued and I have raced with them , with no problem what so ever. |
