Default Micro rock crawler vs micro trailtrekker

Which crawler would be a better rock crawler? The Micro rock crawler or trailtrekker?

Well, the trail trekker is more on the scale side, with longer wheel base but same electronics as the Micro rock crawler. The Micro Rock crawler sit higher but has a shorter wheelbase. So it kinda depends on what you want to have, scale or non scale. You can make the Micro rock crawler scale but it is a little more challenging.

I had both and the Trail Trekker seemed to drive better.

i had a micro crawler, and currently have a trekker. I had converted the crawler to a scaler using the tcs u-trail chassis, and it still crawled better than the trekker. depends on what ur looking for it to do. either way, you can only add so much weight to it, but id go with the crawler, and if you want scale, get the tcs chassis. even with mods, my trekker cant do what my converted crawler could do.

If you plan to modify the snot out of it ... get the McRC (it's also cheaper).
If you just want to play with it and don't want to do much to it ... get the trail trekker.

Realisticly the Trekker is the update to the Crawler (which is now discontinued). Most of us that have the crawlers have stretched the WB to that of the Trekker (before there was a Trekker) and or made a scaler of the little guys. Then Losi goes and pops out the Trekker with it's stretched WB and a more scale appearance. The Trekker is wider, longer and prettier ... other than the TVP's, changes to link/driveshaft length, and outer Stub axle/wheel hex length they are the exact same parts between the two.

With either one plan to ditch the Stock servo, and purchase an aluminum trans case, otherwise they are both fun little rigs.

I like the crawler over the trekker, but I am not much of a scale guy. Had one micro & one trekker, but sold the trekker & have 2 micros. In stock form the micro will out crawl the trekker. Just my .02 cents

The Trail Trekker has better stability. It is slightly bigger so it will be able to take more lines.
