Scroll down on the main page to the Axial Wraith link and start browsing. Everyone is going to have a different view. If you are getting the RTR version, I recommend starting with electronics.

x2 on go to the wraith area...i would say first thing is universal shafts...that will save your knuckles...but you will likely want to upgrade the c-hubs and knuckles sooner or later... the next thing to go will be your servo, and or your motor also the steering links should be replace as their sloppy and soft...but keeping them at first may prolong the life of your servo |

depends on how you drive and what battery. the stock motor will not last too long with the stock 80/20 gears. go read Harleys thread on the wraith section, its pretty good. there are some smart people over there. |

There is alot of good reading on here about the Wraith. I didnt burn out the stock motor but I went ahead and changed it to a 35t motor for more low speed crawling, and changed out the gears to 87/14 setup. You will wnat to change out the servo too, the stock one is weak and dosnt last long. Glad to have another KS boy here.

Head over to the Wraith section, theres a wealth of knowledge there. heres what I learned from my money pit of a Wraith Steering links are a must however for bashing they will save your servo, also a Savox 1268TG or equivalent would be a good servo to upgrade to once you kill the stock one. switch the gearing to something like 12 or 14 pinion and an 87 spur- good for a bit of speed and still very crawlable I can still stand it up from stopped. tires and wheels to fit your style. ESC can be reprogrammed via CastleLink- do this as its probly the most cost effective thing to do (until you drive it thru a mud puddle like I did) as for Going brushless- I have no advice. suspension links are good out of the box but they are sloppy, should be replaced with aluminum-try RC4WD or Vanquish Products-I snapped the stock fronts the first day I had mine. diff covers and axle housings will need replacement, best advice-replace with stock plastic its cheaper RC4WD alum. axles are $90 each, pastic AR60 OCP's are $35 each. also ditch the dogbones up front and see if you can find the universal front axle shafts. |

the 1st thing i got for mine was a steering link it broke in a 1/2 hour to xmas day ( Billet Machined Alloy Steering Front Linkage for Axial Wraith for R/C or RC - Team Integy ) then i got a steering horn (it broke to) and wheels and tires ( the hub on the wheel striped out) but over all its a great crawler after you replace some plastic junk |
