Question

Cloak,a buddy of mine does(I think). He's ran it on both of his Maxx crawlers. Are these the ones with the rib grooves on the top?I've heard those can break steering rod ends.

Thumbs up

The 5955 is the only servo i run. I have never had a problem, lots of power and very strong. I run them in my stick clod and in my sw2 tlt crawlers.

The 5995 is a robot servo and has 180 rotation and if you do not have a radio with end point adjustment you could over steer and brake things.

Run those and the 5995, no prob, you need to be able to set your epa's or something will break! They also use alot of power so get a high rated bec esc, or run a big receiver pack! The 5995 does not have a heatsink like the 5955 and will melt the case if used for extended periods

I do run one and I love it. I had to wipe the drool off it after Colquitt had my truck for a bit. ;)

It is stupid powerful and you really should run a battery pack strictly for it. Just on the general principle that it is a digital servo and with all that beeping, it will eat your battery life up.

thanks for the advices... also is it good for crawler to be ran by a y harness(with trim adjustment), i think i could get the 5955 in front and a standard in the back... i have a MX-3 so the rear steer mod is pretty much out of the question

I am not sure about the y harness because i use a tq3 with the rear steer mod and i run the 5955 in the front and back

I like both the 5995 and 5955 a lot. They make all other servos so weak feeling, but you do have to supply extra juice. My bot servo was shutting down a 3 amp bec regularly.
