Default im confused about wiring motors on clod..

ive read this link 934857983475 times
http://www.utrcrc.com/tech.html

:( but dont quiet understand

ok questions

1. do you have turn one of the motors 180* out? to reverse timing? if so which one? or does doing question #3 eliminate the need for this?

2. ok from the ESC you go to the rear motor + to + and - to - right?

3. then you go from rear + to front -, and rear - to front +?

im so confused. i wish there was more typed explination...

Just think about it for a second. Identical axles, one faces the other direction.

If they were both facing the same direction you'd wire the motors the same.

y harness huh? which is better going straight to the rear or doing the y harness like yours?

ok looks like turning the end bell 180* is NOT required? is that correct?

has anyone tryed a Y? like just wire the front and rear motors together + to - and - to + and then just splicing in the ESC right in the middle? would that not create two equal paths (of resistance)....

Here is a diagram I did a while back. Both lathe motors at zero timing.

It's been done 1000 times. Just wire it already.

Default are esc's different?

I Am having the same issue. mine goes for about 2 sec and then stops then it goes agian and stops and keeps doing that. I am going to rewire it following this diagram. I think mine is already done this way, if so would here be another reason it would do that.

It isn't that complicated, if you have a 2 motor esc - no matter what you do on the clod axles, you could have pink and purple wires - what ever you hook + and - to in the front....flip it for the rear. There is nothing by doing so that would create any delays or glitching. There are a million combinations of wrong electronical parts, but wiring it one way in the front and reversing the setup in the back is not the problem.

You are probably cutting out because the BEC on the ESC wont run 2 servos.

The cheapest ESC will drive 2 55T motors wired in parallel.

Okay...you cant wire the motors with a Y. If you do, any time the motors are under load the motor that has the path of least resistance is gonna steal the current from the esc and one motor is gonna be "weak". Unless you wire the motors with equal lenths of wires. either way you still cant get rid of clodstall totally. the only way to get rid of clodstall is.....

Wire the rear motor first, but ya gotta braze a ground wire from the motor casing to a stainless steel cable. Weld it on good so that it doesnt come loose. attach the other side of the stainless steel cable large peice of rebar or steel tube. It doesnt matter what you use...as long as its really heavy. Mount the steel tube where ever you want, it doesnt really matter, most people like to have more weight over the front tires. The best way to test this to see if it worked is to take it to a very deep lake, drop the truck in the deepest water you can find and if it doesnt float...youve definatly gotten rid of clodstall.
