| Ax10 or Wraith?
I just bought my son an Axial Wraith for Christms. Now I want to get into crawling my self. I'm having a hard time choosing between the Ax10 or the Wraith. I would do the mods to make the Wraith a true crawler. I'm new to the crawling world. We have always had rc electric boats. Thanks in advance.

two totally different animals. the wraith is BIG and WIDE. the ax10 is not. i had a wraith and traded for an scx-10. the wraith can be a good crawler. that's what mine was set up to be, but it doesn't even compair to my ax10 fastback now. my advise is to decide on what you like most. slow crawling or bashing around. personally i thought the wraith was just to big and bulky. it was fun but when it came to the kind of technical crawling i wanted to do it was a bull in the china cabinet. now hill climbing, small jumps, high speed running it was great. that said, my nephew had a bone stock scx10 honcho on 1.9 pitbulls and he could go anywhere we could take our wraiths. that's what helped me decide on the trade from the wraith to the honcho. my daughter (9yrs old) loves the honcho. now it's running a Mamba Max Pro with a 18.5t Novak Ballistic sensored brushless motor on 3s lipos, so it's plenty quick |

i have both a ax10 and a wraith you can check it out on this thread just type in my newest build it has a few pics of both rigs and you can see the size diff i love both of them so it honestly would be hard to decide between the two. i can say though that i truly dont think that the wraith will go where the ax10 will go.

I'm with these guys, you cant even compare a ax10 to a wraith. I own both and I enjoy crawling my wraith, trying to make it follow my ax10. They are both great rigs, so it comes down to what you want to do more.

If I was you I would either pick up another Wraith or a SCX-10. It will be more fun for you guys to crawl together if you both have "scale" rigs rather than one scale rig and one comp rig. Playing follow the leader with a comp rig and a scale rig wont be much fun.

If you're hung up on the looks of the Wraith but want to get more AX10 functionality.... Get yourself a Wreckluse or a Timberwolf |
