|  what all do i need to do to switch from an ax10 frame to an scx10 frame
Also what is the difference in the honcho scx10 frame from just the scx10 frame?

Check tcs crawlers. They sell a whole conversion kit and hardware. Best conversion kit option I've seen so far.

Just get the scx10 fram kit from RPP it includes all crossmemebers, shock mounts, etc. And the new skid as well, it's a lot better than the x-trail, thats why everyone uses them  |

nice, thanks guys i think i'm going to go with the scx10 frame kit but i was wondering if there was a difference between the scx10 honcho frame set and the scx10 normal frame. it looks like one has a battery mount as well as a servo box and the other one doesn't but it has like running boards and is cheaper.

No, there is no difference. Just get the frame kit, I think it's around 50$ or so an you'll be set.
