Default Any tq3?

Ok, kind of a newbie question but I tried searching first.

Theres a bunch of new tq3 radios and recievers on Ebay for like $20 and I was wondering if they would work for the standard rear steering because I thought I saw somewhere that the new revos and tmaxx's had some little computer to shift them??? I dunno, I tried searching though and figured this would be any easy answered question.

the t-maxx and revo use a little computer thats connected to the reciever and the transmission in order to make quick and presice shifts and to make sure you dont accidently shift into reverse when the truck is running forward. The TQ3 is the transmitter and is perfect for just about any car or truck, especially rock crawling
