If there is a light control box in your kit it will be fine. I have a two light kits in mine. One for turn signals and break lights the other is for the fog lights. The GT light set,has a control or I call it a ballast box the controls the voltage to the lights. So as long as it has a box the the lights plug in to and then you plug the box into your RX pack you should be fine.

The lighting controllers from HeyOk has a pass through connector on the ESC channel so it takes the power from the ESC. It will solve you voltage issue plus provides more options like working brake lights. They are reasonable priced too.

The light control box comes with the light set you buy. The honcho RTR comes with the buckets but no lights that I am aware of. If it does it is going to have the axial lights in it.

Bro I have light strips that I can cut solder and make any link you want. They will run on 3s and I can even provide the miniature lipo if you need it.

Thanks for the offer scottanthony, it is greatly appreciated but was looking to buy an LED control unit! I was looking at the GT power lighting kit, will that work with 7.2v battery when plagued into the stock axial receiver?

I bought a ten pack of pre-wired LEDs on Ebay for $2.70
9V on/off switch 5 for 3.50

you can wrap the wires together then cover in electrical tape or you make them last longer by soldering them together.
My opinion is that it is not worth the money for a fancy lighting system. save you cash for other performance enhancing upgrades.
I think it much more fun to take the time and wire it all your self save cash and have a bigger sense of accomplishment.

I spent less than 15 dollars and have enough to do all my lights with a ton of left overs

100 pack of solid color LEDs $3-4
100 resistors $3
30 feet of wire $3.50
5 9v on/off switches $4

LEDS pre-wired cost a little more but already have resistors and wire installed to bulb
