like what greenjk said, the XR is a moa rig, the AX10 is a shafty. Also, The AX10 uses the same transmission and axles as the scx10. Its more like the predecessor.....

From a noobs point of view AX10 = 1 motor & 1 esc for both axles XR10 = 1 motor on each axle & either 2 esc's or 1 that can handle 2 motors |
