Default Binding question

Hello guys I just finished my first TLT crawler yesterday (with the help of several others) however I am having a bit of problem. When my rear tires bind up just a little bit on the rocks they seem to stop pulling. This may be normal but it seems as though it would be better if it would keep pulling. I know that my diffs are locked front and rear but I was just wondering if I may have missed something. I have seen it do it in the front also but it seems a bit more common in the rear. I am sorry if this is a dumb question or has been asked before but I just want to be sure my truck is up to maxium performance. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're spinning the hexes inside the wheels.

Thanks Bender that is what I was thinking but the driveshaft isn't turning either during the binding. Spinning the hexes is the first thing I checked. This may be the dumbest question in the world but what eactly does a "locked tranny" do?

you answered your own question.

A locked tranny makes sure equal torque is sent to the front and rear axles.

If you are running the stock belt tranny you are going to find it slips...

I know the instructions are in the tlt forum somewhere... I'll try and look.
