Default TLT first mods and scale looks?

Alright, my first Nylint was trashed when it hit a rock, got stuck and completly blew both front and rear diffs.

I purchased my brothers from him and it is still my daily cralwer.

Right now it is hurting, the diffs are definitly going again.

So my dad got a TLT a few months ago and he has since gotten e-pede rims all around with moab 2.2s and reversed the body and servos, throttle and such to make it a more capable crawler with the weight of the battery in front.

He has front and rears open and center locked.

I'd like to go locked all around, but I'd like to know the best way.

I've heard JB weld works the best.

Also, will Masher 2.2s fot without rub on a TLT with epede rims?

I'm also looking to make mine more scale looking and say DUDE's TLT and I have no welding or metal faricating experience.

I;m taking a class next year in 11th grade, but right now I have no experience on welding.

Also, I have heard of the TQ3 mod, and am going to find the thread on it, but is there any other pistol grip 3 channels?

Or what is the best 3 channel.

Thank you!

Looks like you have the insite, just need to do it.

The TQ3 is used cause you can pick on up on ebay for like $20-$30 and is easily moded for rear steer. 3 wires, a little soder and done.

I've seen mashers on tlt's. I haven't used them.

JB weld would probably be the best. I've also used 2 part epoxy and it's work fine.

Making a scale chassis may be a little more difficult for you but it's fairly simple. It can also be brazed, welded would be better but since you are limited I would pick a mapp gas torch and some safety silve 56 and start practicing on break line make a simple tuber to practice with, then start on you scale ladder chassis.

Hope that help a bit.

That helps alot!

I think for now I am staying stock as far as chassis go.

I was just wondering if Mashers would rub the stock body.

id personally suggest using hot glue in your diffs. thats what i've used and they've never broken or come undone. then if for some reason you want to take the diffs apart and make them open differentials, the glue just peels off!
