What kind of hitec servos? If you are using two 635mg's, then no you wouldn't need it. But if you had two 5995's then I would recommend either a reciever pack or a regulator.

Default reciever

one is a 645mg and the other is going to be a 9000t with 333oz, or a 5995 with near that also.

You should be fine to just run off of the TR2's BEC, but if you notice any lag in the servos try the reciever pack.

You may get longer run times with the reciever pack, but you will then have to charge both batteries when they dump. I don't use a rec. pack to keep things simpler.

Default pack

thanks i will try without. im going to continue to build the chassis to fit the pack, see how it works and try once everything is up and running. wont hurt to have the pack i guess. ive got 2 turbo 35 charges so charging the packs wont b a problem

I need to run a Rx pack because my BEC on the Mamba won't do the job. I personally would rather run a small pack for the servos. Even while I was running a SR with plenty of BEC,I still ran a small pack. I could tell a difference in my run times. I can get around 10 or 12 runs out of the small pack before a recharge is needed,so it's not that big of a deal. My Triton will usually peak my Rx pack in 15-20 minutes,so it's not really a hassle for me.

If you need a touch of weight somewhere,it might fit the bill and they are small and easy to mount.
