| New RTR Wraith build is complete! First Time Crawler
So I made the mistake of buying the Wraith RTR, a mess of aftermarket parts and installing all of them before even buying a battery or charger and well now... Don't want to get it DIRTY! It's been fun, alot of things fit well, alot of things got sent back. But I'm happy where it all landed. Up next is new Electronics, then get a charger, battery & let it rip. Any recommendations as to the best radio & ESC/Motor set up? |

Quite sexy indeed. The purple shows well with the green. Didn't your rtr rug come with radio, ESC, etc.?

I would start out with the stock electronics to see how it handles. That way you can learn how upgrading effects the performance of your rig. When you do decide to replace the electronics I would start with getting a stronger servo such as the Hitec 7950. Once you decide if you want better crawling or more speed then I would start looking at the motor options. |

Replacing parts as they break, or you outgrow them, seems like a decent way to go. But it's fun to be impatient, too. I've done plenty of the latter with aircraft builds.

Are you building a spare with all the leftover RTR parts? lol Your build looks killer! I think my son will be needing one of these really, really soon...

That is awesome. I'd use the stock Tx/Rx. What do you want to run. Brushed or Brushless motor? If brushed, then a stock 20T for bashing or a Holmes Hobbies motor between 27T and 55T. If brushless, a Tekin Pro4, Tekin 13.5T Gen2, Tekin ROC412 (All of which are Sensored). Servo wise, I'd get a WP Savox one. ESC, depends if you went brushed or brushess. Brushed, either a CC SV3 or Tekin FXR. Brushless, either a Tekin RX8 or a Viper VTX8 (which is waterproof) But that;s just my couple of cents worth |

@overbudget, may I ask, what was the final price tag in your RTR wraith after all upgraded parts?
