Default Project is starting: TLT Trail Rig

Im a New in crawler but was encouraged by a senior crawler to make one. So i decided upon making not a full out crawler but a scale/trail rig. Last night i bought a stealth transmission off ebay. That was the kickoff. The chassis i will be using is the k2-3L (http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.p...roducts_id=197)

I will than make my own links and use ends from a TLT kit which i will be purchasing for axles and all the other junk. i figure with all that hardware/e clips/ washers/ spacers it will make my build go better.

As for tires i will be buying moabs and they will be siting on stampede front wheels all around. I might dye the wheels but i am not sure how. i would want them to be black.

the 60-80mm shocks that i need for this chassis will be tc3 shocks. If any one could assist me to a place that sells stock tc3 shocks because 40 dollars is a little steep for the factory teem ones from tower.

As a drive-shaft i will be sliders and to get some money back i will try to sell the wheels and tires from the tlt kit. the chassis, tranny, shocks and body.

as for a body i am thinking this http://www.pro-lineracing.com/proline.html

with some kind of home made rack on the back for a spare tire.

SO, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

well i dont know if your stuck on tc3 shocks, but Run2Jeepn sells all aluminum shocks in multiple sizes for $shipped. maybe something to consider.

I just ordered the same chassis. It sounds like you and I are looking to build the same thing. I am also going to try those shocks from Run2Jeepn, then maybe the link mounts from BENDER, I have had those before, and know that they work well. Keep an eye out for my build up. I will keep checking in to your maybe we can learn some stuff from each other. What body are you planning on using? Iam thinking about the Jeep or that new land rover defender body HPI has. Well good luck man!!!
