| Torquemaster 35T gearing ?
Ok im ready to order a HH Torquemaster 35T for my Wraith and have a question on the gears. HH recommends 15/84 gearing and Harley recommends 12/56 32p. Am I right in assuming HH is using a 48p or are they both saying to use a different gear ? If both are saying to use different gear which ones do I get ? Also do I just need to order the spur and the pinion or is there more to order ? Thanks .

Yes the 15/84 is 48p and the 12/56 is 32p. I just put a HH 27t expert in my wraith with 14/56. Didnt try to shove my temp gun in there but can tell you after half a pack (3300 3s) it was too much gear. 11/56 felt slow. |

| Re: Torquemaster 35T gearing ? When you say to much gear what do you mean? The motor got hot? Would using the 14/56 produce the same results in a 35T? Definitely don't want slow I'm already running a 55T in it. Also not sure if it matters but I'm using a 5000mah NiMH battery now. Eventually will go to 2s maybe 3s.

3 cell will definitely put some Spurs on your heals... I run a 27 HH torquemaster in an SCX -10 with 11/57 on a 3c no heat issues at all, plenty of spit and git when you want it. You could even go up a tooth and still be safe. |

i dont remember which pinion i put on my sons scx10 running an hpi 27t sealed can on 2s. whether its the gearing, the motor, or the voltage, im just not satisfied with its performance. it moves along at a decent pace but lacks power. then again maybe im biased towards the 2spd trans in my TF2

In mine I run 18/87 in 3S...the motor doesnt even get warm! I guess I could go higher but I would lose that low end that I like to go slowly over obstacles

| Re: Torquemaster 35T gearing ? Are you running a 35T? How's the WOT speed? Would there be a temp difference using a NiMH pack until i decide to go Lipo?

With a 35T motor you don't need to switch to 32p gears.I am running 87/16 48p in one of my wraiths with no heat issues.

| Re: Torquemaster 35T gearing ? Good to know. Just trying to get everything lined up so when I do go Lipo I don't have to regear.

OK so I'm going to give the 18/87 a try along with 6° of timing.

| Re: Torquemaster 35T gearing ? Bump up the juice. Run it on 4s. Was thinking of trying a pair of 27T's just for the hell of it.
