| Parts is parts
I see all kinds of parts offered for sale. Mechanical parts, electrical parts, wheels, tires, etc. etc. You rarely see any type of adequate description. Usually only the most basic specs, if that. Many parts will fit a variety of similar units. I don't expect the sellers to research this. A good description would certainly help. Catalogs, ebay, online hobby shops all do this. It drives you to the local hobby shop. You can then check it out yourself before buying. It is good to patronize the local shop, but since inventory is expensive they will only have a limited selection. Interesting that the few listings with good specs tend to be Chinese or English[UK]. Hints for vendors: Take pictures. Place a ruler next to the item. Show both sides or top and bottom. Include part numbers and/or source. If known, indicate the material in the part [plastic, metal, etc] Hint for buyers: Purchase from the vendors that have good descriptions. |
