Default tlt run times vs clod run times

Because of the lack of an extra motor on the tlt's does it equate to a better /extended run time?I have a clod and am building a tlt tuber right now and just was wondering?

I've got a 45t in my tlt and I've ran it over 45mins on a 3200mah pack.

Yep with the clod axles you get a "double drain" n the 2.2 tlt is only one motor so 1/2 the drain. No joke.....I ran my 2.2 for 3 1/2 hrs on a 1700 Integy TLT-1 battery. R2 tranny, 55T Integy, 8T pinion, Super Rooster. You dont need a huge expensive battery for a 2.2 . But if you must......cant hurt.

This was my first 2.2. No bs I was TOTALLY surprised!! I own FinishLine R/C so Im creditable. I dont bs. Not trying to sell anything either. Just was totally surprised at the run time. Maybe Rooster? The R2 tranny is soooo effecient and geared down I dont have alot of wheel speed. No high drain. Like I said this was my first one (2.2) so it sounds weird but to me it makes sense

With a 2 cell lipo, I got a one hour runtime on a mini-t with stock electronics.... I still call BS.

And thats fine with me.....were practicing Sunday....Ill get witnesses. I went through the comp on the 10th of dec, all 3 courses, had fun time for a couple hours on a trail ride with 5 others after the comp, and came back to my shop to crawl for another 1/2 hr or more and then finally it ran out of juice. Well do it again. Your wheel speed has alot to do with battery drain and since I dont have any with the R2, and since you dont have an R2 to know what your talking about for a comparison, Im not worried about your opinion about believing me. It doesnt do much good to be a bs'r when you OWN the store......you go down fast so a bs'r Im not!! -Dan Conner, owner- FinishLineR/C Denver CO

Default Nicad

NICAD's hold there power diferently then a NIMH battery. The 1700 probably has a high rs also. This would give it a high run time also. The NICAD will also regenerate when not in use.One other thing a 1700 battery is lighter then a 3300 battery. I beleive him

Well, ok. I thought you meant it was running and driving the whole time. It makes more sense if it was just sitting idle for awhile. Makes it a LITTLE more believable but I still wont believe it till I see it. Thats just how I am though....

I may have to order an R2 tranny for my TLT and test it out for myself.

I routinely get 2+ hours of crawling in with a 65t, a SR, and pede trans in a tlt using a 1700 7cell hump pack. I am also not a throttle jockey by any means. That probably has alot to do with it. I hope with my new 4200 batteries i can get 3+ hours of constant running.

I have a 2.2 I got off ebay two weeks ago, I have used it once so far and could not believe how long it ran and still had more. 2400 pack ran at least a hour with no signs of dieing.

Obviously, a clod will run down the batts quicker,as it has double the drain. On my clod (stock gearing, 55t, 2 ESCs, 4300mah NIMH) I usually get about 45mins, and I am pretty throttle happy. With the stock clod tyres, you can't rely on torque and grip.

the tlt run time is longer then the clod because the clod uses 2 motors tlt 1 so you don't have to put a lot of power in too 2 but only 1 motor
