| Best scale chassis to start with?
Going to start a build soon. I'm planning on making it something to play with when I have my 1:1 jeep out on the trails. I'm not going to go crazy with it but I just want to have something cool looking for pics and what not. So what chassis should I start with? I'm going to pick up another (had one a year ago) tlt-1 from ultimate hobbies. I'll be making alot of the parts myself but I figured if I start with a good custom chassis The rest would go alot smoother. Thanks! |

i'll have to agree!! our last comp the top two scale trucks were custom made frames! of course one of them was mine! and then behind us there was the mfm chassis and bb-51 wishen they could keep up!! |

Well it's not like I don't want to do the work but I would be alot more "motivated" to finish the project if I had a good begining. I think the hardest part of these builds I see is just getting started. If I had a frame to begin with I would know what direction I wanted to build from.

i'm in the same position... having never done it before, i find it hard to work out where to start. I mean... how do you know the best way to set up a chassis your building if you have never held a 'real' one in your hand?? I think the BB-51 is the best thing on the market, but for the price, you can buy a few K2-3L chassis instead. Both have quite a few fans on this site... so i'm going with the cheaper one |
