| New to crawlers need help on 1st truck
Im new to RC crawlers but have watched lots of the videos on this site im into nitro trucks and have a thunder tiger SSK. and also have a electric 350z drift car. Im wanting to build a crawler I found this on a sell site and was thinking of getting as a start is it a good one to get me start with? or should i just make my own chassis.like this. Listing: Tlt1 wheels & parts as picture, wheels should fit most tamiya trucks or cars (12mm hex) in good condition, truck was only run a few times. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...px?id=86414652 Last edited by xboxmodder; 01-30-2007 at 06:26 PM. |

Those are the almost worthless stock TLT parts that everyone gets rid of when they build a crawler. You definitely don't wanna buy 'em. Do some more reading and you'll figure out what you want. Search "SW2", "XRC", "Vertical Smile" for chassis. Search "Moab" and "Masher" for tires.

This chassis? http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/attac...1&d=1134882968 Couldnt i just use the TLT-1 chassis and make it like the: Conversion Kit - TLT/Max Climber to 12.5" wheelbase Axle Brace Mounts with Heavy Duty 4-Links Kit. On this site? http://www.thecrawlerstore.com/chassiskits.html Last edited by xboxmodder; 01-30-2007 at 06:42 PM. |

First off in order for you to build a TLT crawler, your gonna wanna buy a TLT-1 Rock Buster kit from www.TowerHobbies.com or www.UltimateHobbies.com and then build you a crawler. Just keep looking around on here and reading man. I read and looked and asked questions on things for about 10 months before I even considered building me a TLT. I started off with a Nylint. Anyways though look at the above sites and get a tlt kit and start your build. If you wanna use the stock chassis then very-well its in that kit with your axels you need anyways. If not look in the vendor sections here and find a Chassis that fits your wants and needs. Your gonna spend atleast $300 just to get a Decent Crawler. But you can add on as your budget gets better of course.
