| How do you prefer to run it ?
Your spur gear , fully locked or just a lil slip. I was out testing the new HH motor and all metal ebay transmission on the rocks , got caught up, spur spun, i reversed to get out of the jam/bind , i guess it help , not breaking nothing was a good sign. LOL. I do know slipping helps the drive train, but its a crawler not a stampede. So is it better with a lil slip or it really doesn't matter with crawlers ? |

Fully locked at all times. I'm in control of the throttle so breakage is my fault if it happend.

Locked up. I just find slippers to be a bit random. Throttle control is all I use. If the truck won't move, I ease off, figure out why and if needed pick the truck up. I ripped a tire once on a root stub and ruined my day. That won't happen again. (Hopefully).

Locked. Like M1tch said its clear when the truck is bound up. On my race bomber its locked out too, but I run plastic WBHD shafts as my fail point. Slipper pads do wear out and trying to crawl with a slipping trans is no fun, so I avoid that issue all together. |

I share mine with children, so my slippers are set up to slip, kids have no throttle control!

Slippers are good for go fast trucks, but I wouldn't want any slipping on a crawler.

I've had good luck with tightening them down all the way and backing it off a half turn or so. But I do like them to be able to slip if I get really bound up it gives, I think I can count the number of times they've slipped on one hand. I also use throttle control and my noggin to make sure its not bound up but I see no reason to not have it as a backup just in case unless its just giving you trouble (slipping when not wanted regardless of adjustment). Though now that I think about it I think the only slipper I ever had issues with was on the Axial Wraith after going brushless, the slipper pad came unglued and no amount of tightening helped (of coarse). I like it to slip. You just need to find that sweet spot where it will slip before your axles snap, but doesn't slip during normal crawling.

100% Locked with Slipper Eliminator. Put that power to the ground and use your head in a bind.
