Default Losi Baja Rey Wheels

Upgrading my Losi Baja Rey to a rock racer and I want to put 2.2 aluminum bead locks and 2.2 tires on them. Any suggestions on what will work?

Any 2.2 beadlock wheel and tire combo will work. You will not be able to run the front clip/fenders or rear fenders though. Also, if you have not beefed up your drivetrain (aluminum front bulkhead, aluminum rear end with larger bearings), I would not do it. The extra mass of the larger aluminum wheels will destroy the stock drivetrain.

Will the metal diff rear ended cover with the bigger bearing work or do I need the whole aluminum rear end?

Should be good with the bigger bearing. Alloy 2.2’s are still gonna be hard on a “go-fast” drivetrain though.

SSD Rock Racers are what I prefer. For tires I prefer Proline 1st and Pitbull second.
