|  Trx4 transmission locked up
Hey guys. Transmission (2speed) locked up . Did exploritory sergery and found nothing obvious like stripped gears or anything cracked or out of place. Suggestions? Please! About ready to whip this crap in the trash. It breaks standing still. Lost a pin in the process. What size are and where can I get some? Thanks in advance

First off the TRX4 is far from crap! That said is your TRX4 an RTR or Kit? I have found in a couple of my early transmissions that a small metal chip was stuck in the root of one of the gear teeth. One of them just made a distinct ticking noise, the other actually locked up. Carefully inspect each of your transmission gears specifically looking for a metal chip stuck in a tooth and then pick it out with a knife tip. As for parts go to Traxxas.com and look up the TRX4 support page, there you will find an exploded parts view of each and every component along with part numbers.

Might be an overdriven screw perhaps. Try backing them out one and time and seeing if the transmission spins.

Is it locked up (i.e. won't turn) or is it not driving the wheels? Check to make sure the servo is fully engaging and not stopping in the middle of the throw.

Did you ever fix it? Mine is doing the same. It will turn 1 rotation and then lock.

sound like its not engaging all the way and kicking out. I would check servo endpoints, have seen bearing cause a lock up issues also.
