Default Mini Crawler Battery Question

Ok, so I've just really started getting into mini crawlers recently and have an Atlas which I like a lot, problem is after just one charge cycle the battery will no longer charge. What are you all using for batteries in your mini crawlers?

Default Re: Mini Crawler Battery Question

I have two SCX24s that my kids play with and they use the kit supplied battery, which is the Dynamite 350mAh 2S LiPo 7.4V. So far, no issues with either batteries.

The pack itself is a little over a year old and has seen light usage.

Couple of thoughts to consider:
  • I always unplug the battery from the ESC when not in use to avoid any voltage loss. Even though the ESC is off, I have seen drain in other vehicles I have owned over time
  • Check the USB charger that was supplied with your kit. I had one die on me after only the second charge.

I agree, they are fun to toy around with, and it is not unusual for me to run them after the kids are in bed for a little fun in the garage!

Just curious, are you using the supplied USB charger?
