Default Slipper clutches...

Does everyone lock their slipper clutch up? Does anyone use the slipper clutch as an advantage other than a damage prevention "fuse"?

Does anyone use a Losi Hydradrive in their crawler?

most lock or remove the slipper, if it is ran it is like you said a fuse.
i dont think you could get a thick enough oil for the hydradrive to work.

I still run a slipper in my 2.2 comp rig. It's set very tight and only slips in serious binds, which does help save excess wear and tear on parts.

I guess what I'm saying abou the Hydradrive is that it seems like it would work just liek a torque converter in the real thing, and allow al ot more precision control in a "stall" situation or bind.

You could most certainly find oil thick enough to work IMO. I just don't know if it's an advangta or not in the first place...

A magnetic clutch would be ideal in this applicaiton too - somethign you could adjust with a knob on the radio or something, or that was positively proportional to throttle, etc...
