Default lower a trx4?

I have the trx4 blazer in orange and i love it, but i am more interested in scale looks and normal driving over trying to go over rocks and such. i am interested in lowering it about 1/2 to 1 inch to make it more realistic looking, and maybe i might change the tires.

is there a way to lower it without buying new parts?

you can put a peice of plastic or rubber or even metal tubing under the shock piston so it wont exstend the shock all the way but that limits your traval and kinda makes the spring stiffer and you have to completely disasemble the shocks and if you dont reasemble them right your gona have a leaky mess

if you want to spend a little bit they sell shock keys that raises or adjusts the mounting point but then your tires rub the body
you can also make your own shock keys pretty easy

you can also buy new shorter shocks that dose the same thing as the first option but costs more and dosent add preload to your springs and you dont have to disasemble the shocks

in my opinion going the tubing route first is a good way to test out different settings and different ride hights and once you find what you like buy new shocks that size
also its reversable unless you cut your springs so if you dont like it you can go back and it dosent cost you anything

are these the stock shocks for the trx4? i think it is, but would like confirmation

Also change the tires and wheels. Maybe get some 1.5 wheels and more scale tires. That will lower it some.

Rise the shocks at the chassis, shorter shocks or limit what you have, and shorter tires will all achieve what you’re after.

Personally I’d go for a slightly shorter tire and shorter shocks OR internally limit the shocks you have to save a few bucks.

just had a thought use shock keys then limit the up traval so the tires dont rub it wont affect the preload and you only have to take the top of the shock off and drop a spacer in you wont have to take the whole shock apart or drain the fluid

Scale looks and lower ride height. Straight axle swap but you may have to change to a 3 gear trans.
