| what turn motor?
hey guys im planning on getting the integy lathe motor but im wondering what turn i should get, will 45 be too fast or 65 be too slow? thanks guys

What are you using it in? 55t is the most popular, but you can use the others as well, depends on your gearing, # of cells in your battery, and what kind of wheelspeed you want out of it.

I have a 55 turn in my truck andf I like it, even though it is geared way too high. Maybe somebody should put together a little motor guide outlining motor choices with different combonations of things. Like a 6 cell sub-c pack is good with a 55 turn.....or something to that effect. I would attempt to put a guide together, but I don't think that I know enough to make the info correct.

for strictly rock crawling i like 65 turn motors with 8 tooth pinions, i might even try 75 turn motors when i get some extra money. in a basher/rock crawler i like 35 turn with stock pinions.

i run a a 2x 55t lathe motors on 8 2/3a cell's on my clod. It's abit to fast for me though may go to 65t lathe.

What is the torque diferance between 55t 75t?

75 has more torque, but a lot less wheelspeed.

I run a 65t motor,and it works fine.....they actually hav a little horse to em..haha |

i have a 65t lathe, i think it is a little slow. In a stock maxclimber they are fast because of the high gearing, but in my crawler i think imay jump to a 55, or i might try a 45 for kicks.
