do you want to build a 2.2 or super class rig? the best way to learn what you want to do is just spend some time looking around at pics of everyone elses rigs. the tlt forum has a few sticky threads that will help you get started...

It all depends. Do you want to dump a lot of money into it and have a really good crawler or have a cheap decent one?

If you want a basher that can also crawl decently, the E-Maxx is a good seggustion. Thats how I got started with rc crawlin' and I now have a scale E-Maxx, a super that is almost done, and another E-Maxx build that will start after the super is finished. To get started, the E-Maxx needs minor modifications to make it a great crawler. Check out the Maxx Crawler forum on here, there is a sticky that tells you what mods are best to do to one. (Sorry, I don't know how to post links)

Welcome BlueFlamesHD!!
With a name like that, you sound like a Deaf lesbain biker
All are welcome here
You won't find many deaf lesbain bikers here, although I myself am One
Most here will be glad to help.
A Tlt is an excellent base for a crawler.

this is a really big topic, brushless has no brushess, hence the name, they run more effiently. They are generally made to have speed, although many have been using a different brushless system that works great for crawling. The brushed motors have # of winds to them. You have heard of a19 or 27 turn motor. Crawlers use 35t-75t motors. 75 being really slow with tons of torque etc!
