Default txt esc

I just bought a tamiya txt-1 and I want to buy an esc but i dont know what to look for. And my battery life sucks how can I fix this?

New packs... But it also depends on what packs you have now... They just may need a good cycling charge...

As for an ESC? Well, you can use pretty well anything with revers if yer gonna use a lathe motor in it... All lathe motors are beyind the high turn limit of any ESC... ESC's have an upper limit of 36 and lathes start at 35... You can use anything from the el-cheapo MoPed all the way up to the Novak XR Super Duty if ya wanted... ESC will be dictated mainly by how much $$ you want to splay out for one...

drop the gearing with a great planes gd-600 then you will get some sweet run times outta it. i run a 3300 mah (abused bat pak) and i get 30 -45 +mins run time....with a stock tamiya silver can motor
