| Good place to start?
Hi all. I have been browsing around this site for a couple of weeks now. Actually stumbled upon it by accident and I think it is a fantastic site. I am kind of new to R/C....been several years since I have touched one. I was wondering if this was a good place to start building a crawler...http://www.orcrc.com/crawlmart/kits.htm I have seen a couple of people talk about the TLT-1 being a good starting point but any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to RCC! From what I have read, people have enjoyed their TLT's a lot, but you'll still have a good bit of mods to make before you can make it a crawler (from what I understand). Did you want to build a scale, 2.2 or a super? |

A scale would be great but being that it is the first time I shouldn't go that way. A 2.2 would be the direction I think I would head in for now. Opinions?

| Axial AX10 Scorpion
Tlt's are incredible when built up right. The only issue is that they are hard to find since Tamiya discontinued them. You can get a hold of complete axles but have to have a sound idea of your build. I would suggest the Axial AX10 scorpion. It still has to be built but will get you setup for a lot less $$$ I'm planning on the Axial for my next build.

Yes the Axial may be a good place to start. But if you want something now you can pick up a 4x4 HPI Wheely King and have EVERYTHING you need to get running. Then just replace parts with the apporiate crawler specific parts. Welcome to RCC too! Josh |
