Thanks for the link. Doesn't that rig use the same chassis as the yellow hummer with mattracks that radio shack sells?

I assume you want to put on some 2.2 wheels/tires for better clearance/traction.

If the f350 is stock right now here is a probable chain of events
1. I tell you how to modify for 2.2 wheels
2. You put on 2.2 moabs.
3. The larger diameter makes your truck seem gutless.
4. You modify the motor mount, put on a 8 tooth pinion, and get a better motor.
5. The traction still isn't very good. You lock the diffs. (should be step 1.)
6. This works better, whoops fried the steering servo after 2 minutes.
7. You modify the chassis for a hobby grade servo, receiver, and Moped Esc.
8. This works great...whoops.. three wheel drive. New stub axles from a Hobby grade RC work great, after a three week search to find ones that will fit.
9. Whoops.. three wheel drive. Tranny outdrives are shot. You make your own spools.

It can be made into a passable crawler, but in the end it will still be hard to work on, poorly engineered, and generally substandard.

If you think I am just being a hater, think again.Rat Shack torsion

Now, if you still want to put on different wheels, here is what I did.

1. Remove the steering knuckles/bearing holders.
2. Remove the brass hex. They are pressed on, the shaft has straight knurls. I think I clamped the hex in the vise (not too tight), put a nut on the shaft to protect the threads, and hit it with short hammer raps.
3. After the hexs are off drill a hole through the stub axle for a drive pin. I used Stampede drive pins, wheel hexs, and wheels.

This is not an exact science for me and will probably rely heavily on your skills and imagination. Also I am not using Radio Shack stub axles. Drilling a hole through a stock Radio Shack stub axle may result in a broken axle.

Good Luck, I always like to see what others have done to this chassis.
