are you going to do Comps or use it for bashing ? if you do Comps I would say TLT , WK axles are a little wide (IMO) for Comps . WK are nice little trucks (tough) , but in the end it is really up to you .

The WK is ready to run with battery and everything. The TLT has alot more aftermarket crawler parts available for it, but it's just the unassembled truck. If you're on a tight budget go with the WK.

Here's my thoughts
I agree that WK axles are a little too wide for comps, at least in my experience. If you want a scale truck I would avoid the WK altogether if you want the tire to sit under the body.
The WK is a good deal though and with the TLT being discontinued its going to become harder to find parts.
In my opinion its easier to make a tlt into a good crawler than it is a wk which may be something to consider if you're newer at this.

ill probably get the wk and a lathe then stretch the wb
since i dont know of any comps in my area
but the tlt i found on ebay is rtr but it still 1/18 so id have to get the bender or junfac chassis
so either way im lookin at around the same price
i would do comps if there were any in my area
but ill mostly crawl around the lakes by my property

If the TLT is RTR and has decent electronics, I'd go that route just for the aftermarket support alone. Parts will still be available for the TLT axles, even if it's aftermarket stuff from a company like RCP. As you stated, either way will probably be about the same price.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with either one. I've seen one WK put up with a ton of abuse in a very short time.
