| Hello from the UK
Hi, my name is Dan and I live on an island off the coast of Scotland, in the UK. I've been dabbling with RC cars ever since I could work a toggle switch and also I do a lot of static display models. My main interest is landbourne vehicles including touring cars, rally cars, off roaders and I think a few rigs are in the pipeline! It's not all boring though, I have a Land Rover Defender 1:1 and I frequently off road with it and do a dose of rock crawling Now down to business.... I've been lurking on here for a while reading up on your vast and valuable information! I have decided to build two crawlers: one a scale, realistic as possible, most likely use a Defender body and use it more for those amazing videos I'm addicted to on YouTube; the second will be an all singing all dancing performer, Bender Customs chassis, 4 link, shaft driven and all that! I'm not new to model building and RC bashing but I am new to crawling and the new stuff so please excuse my ignorance! |

Welcome to a very addicting r/c hobby! Nice choice on crawlers to build Bender makes good stuff and scalers are one of the most fun to drive.

Thanks for all your welcoming words guys! Last night I baught a 1/12 Tamiya Hummer on ebay. That's the first scaller project started then! It so happens my mate has the same one too so the videos should be cool! Need to get some batteries, found a nice 4250 pack, reckon with 3 of these you could go all day! Where is a good source of the specialist parts in the UK or do most of the shops talked about/addvertised on here ship to the UK? |
