What is the advantage of having droop suspension on a 2.2 rig?

Biggest advantage is a lower COG (center of gravity). #2 (in a shaft driven crawler) is less torque twist. NooB |

A drop will have less clearance over rocks, but the idea is that when it is high centered the axles can drop down. Your chassis does not need to be drop or conventional specific. I run drop suspension on my 2.2 that ran sprung for the first 3 comps. Same with my Super. It really comes down to working out the bugs. Both setups require tuning and a specific driving style. |
