I have a Tamiya chassis with an installed Integy 55turn motor. It is 4 wheel drive with locked difs. I've seen people use the Novak XRS ESC, $50 Is this a reliable ESC for this motor? As always thanks for your input.

What kind of tamiya chassis are you running. There are alot out there. Is it a TLT? A txt or what. We have to have more info than what you have given us in order for us to help you. If its a TLT then yes it will be fine with that as far as I know. I never had any trouble with the lathes I ran on a TLT.

As far as a 55t motor goes almost any ESC will run it. The thing about the XRS is the brake, but that may be able to be turned off.

The Moped V16r ($30) is a perfect choice for those on a budget needing to run 1 or 2 55T motors.

The Novak XRS is a great ESC to use with that motor. I like it better than the Moped.

pretty much any esc will work with a high turn motor. the deciding factor is what features you want. waterproof, reverse, brakes, stuff like that.
