My suggestion would be to spend some time browsing in the scale section. You should find all your answers there. The search feature will also come in handy. You just did | |

To get a decent start and all the running gear out of one box, I'd say the High Lift. Although, if you look around at some of the rigs here, homebuilt may be the way to go. I think the enginuity (spelling?) of alot of the guys on here is remarkable. I've used alot of ques from the guys on this forum to build alot of stuff for my rides, but its really up to what you want to spend. Just remember, "Its all just a question of money, how big do you want to go?" |

If your looking to stay on the cheap. Get a TLT or WK and a MFMRacing chassis. The crawler store sells them. |

I would have to say that one of the more scale chassis around here is one of clodstalls chassis. check em out here, he has 4 different designs and great prices too. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84845 |

just wanted to let you know im going for the same build type the trail rig/mudder. im thinkin of going with the high lift its prob your best bet from what ive seen today and ive been lookin for a base truck/chassi all day. so unless you go mostly custom tthe high lifts the best bet but its just my 2 cents.

I faced the same delema you are facing but I already had a Highlift so I just used it. Im not particular to any of the chassis there are alot of nice ones and they all preform well. Just to give you an idea of what is posible with a Highlift here are some pics of my truck. Its not the best crawler but makes a good trail truck. |
