Default Ready to build but my head is spinning

I dont know where to start. I know I want a FJ40 bushwacker body and thats it. I have been reading the site but the more I read the more I am confused.
Help me put a nice rig together.

Thanks
Chris

i would recommend the axial scorpion:
http://www.tcscrawlers.com/product.p...5&cat=3&page=1

it comes with everything but electronics. pick up electronics and a body and your all set.

for electronics i would recommend the following:

tekin rebel 2: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXKYN6&P=ML
integy matrix lathe motor:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXKUG5&P=ML

both of the above can also be found at the crawler store.

for radio and receiver go to ebay and search for traxxas tq2 or tq3 you should be able to buy a system for 30 - 40 bucks. make sure you get the radio system with the receiver and the crystals.

hope this helps

Probably need to decide whether you want to go the scale route or the comp crawler route. Since you say you wanna use a bushwacker, I would think scale. Also ask more specific questions. It would take all day to try and cover all the bases at once. You don't mention what your budget is or anything...

yeah you can spend 500. and get a pretty good setup. I would suggest the AX-10 if you dont know much about the hobby. The AX-10 scorpion plus basics would put you around 500. The list on the second post are pretty good to start with.

I was thinking about 500. I like the scale but also love the comp buggies.
The AX-10 looks good but need to know what else I will exactly need. I am a real noob

So a buddy of mine, who is also very new has an AX-10, the Rooster Crawler ESC, a 55T lathe and a 7-cell 2/3A battery. And he loves it.
