Here is an open ended question. Too much is when your rig articulates until it flops over, not enough is when it carries the wheels to easily....and ends up flopping over!!

Really, the articulation for your rig depends on, your rig. Everybody's is set up a little different, with weight, center of gravity (COG or CG), and balance points. So the best advice is to experiment with your setup until you get it working with your driving style and skill level.

Then take it out, and drive it. If you like it, and can keep up on a follow the leader trail ride, then you're probably ready for a little competition!! Have fun!!

For my rig I would say about 70 degrees. anything more starts to work against me.
Best advice is to build it and run it!

I totally agree with what was said above but for a point of reference, 40 degrees is an average point to start at.

ok thanks for the help guys I have a wheely king that i'm building into a rock crawler I will be using the stock chassis and was just wondering about how much articulation it should have to be a competitive 2.2 crawler. I have a 55t lath motor and gears coming that should be here soon. so after I get them installed I will go out and see what it does on the rocks. again thanks for your help.

IMO the best is just a 1/4 inch over top of a soda can seems to work well with my setup
