i would suggest a stock titan motor its fast enough to play in the mud and slow enough to play on the rocks! and they are dirt cheap!
i used one on a little basher i made a while back and it was pretty decent!

try the vemon firball 21 turn double for a motor, they are sweet little motors, and at 17.50 who cares what happens to them. plus there rebuildable and you can play with the timing on them.

Ok, I didn't send your axles out yet and here's why.

The previous owner started to lock out the rear, and since I figured you didn't have many extra parts, I decided to lock it out for you by finishing what he started.

THEN, since you don't have any links OR mounts OR servo mount, I thought I'd help you out there also. Now, you have links, mounts and a servo mount. I actually stole some of this stuff from my Scaler build, but figured I could make more since you said you don't have tools.

THEN, since you don't have any shocks, I took a pair of Traxxas shocks complete with ball ends on both ends for better articulation and bolted them on.

The front (pictured on the left) is pretty much complete except you will need to mount your servo and run the steering linkage.

The rear needs 2 TLT suspension stays to mount the links and shocks to. I've already Dremeled the axle to make them fit...all you'll need to do is bolt them on. I've even put the longer bolts on already.

This was my setup on the SW2 chassis...if you could score one cheap, you'd be really well set for a comp crawler!

I would like a couple extra bucks for all this...I'll PM you the details.

What do ya think?!

link length has no significants till you know what chassis the axles are going on. remember this is a mudder/trail rig so you don't have to go with hate 12 1/2 " wheel base idea. as long as it fits the body.

Since you made the chassis he's planning on using...what link length did you use on it and what WB did you get from it?

He doesn't have much for tools so i just gave him what I had and hopefully it will get him close to what he needs.

This setup would be perfect on an SW2 since that's what I used it on.

that chassis i made was made for a 12 1/2 wheel base.it would of used traxxas p3 push rods for lower links and jato tie rods for uppers. i gave troublemaker the part numbers for the links.

its not the greatest looking chassis but all the wholes are drilled straight on, the outer edge of the chassis is not perfect as i used a dremel tool to cut that out. (not easy)

i know hes thinking of getting a different chassis for the truck.since this is a mudbogger/hill climber i think it wouldn't hurt to get more of a scale looking chassis like a reign k2 3l or 3s but tis up to him.

i have a friend with a sw2 and they are nice.
