| Finally Gave in and Bought a Slash... and gave it some Monster Energy flair
So I finally decided to give in to my wants and get the Slash. I did not like stock paint job, so i decided to change it. I am a big fan of Alan Pflueger and decided to go Monster Energy. The tough part about this was that I didn't have a new clear body, so i went to work on the stock one. First I sanded it down and masked of all the decals (this was tougher then I originaly thought it would be). Then I added some white to help the green stick out better. Then Green: I also decided to paint the wheels black with a green beadlock rim. (i know the real truck doesn't have this but I thought it looked good.) Then I masked of the green and added black to the body. Finally I had a painted body... Then I went down to RMS and bought some monster stickers to complete the whole package. This is no where near perfect... after all I just painted the outside of a lexan body. It still think it looks good from a small distance and will stick out in the spec class! It took me a while but I thought it turned out pretty cool. I will redo it when the clear bodies come out. Comment or Suggestions Welcome! Thanks, Daniel |

It doesnt look too bad. The spots that I mainly noticed were the green stripes but you covered the bad spot with the stickers. Not much more you can do with a painted body.
