Unless I'm mistaken those appear to be the old Bolink Legends car bodies.

RJ also has a new "76 era" CJ 7/5 cross body out. I just got one for my crawler. The doors are a cross between a 5 & 7 in shape, otherwise they are perfect.

Check this out for clarification: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXUEC6&P=SM "This model is produced from the same tooling as the original Bolink Legend Series. All parts are compatible with the original series." |

| BINGO!!! That's it. From the body styling I guess it came from a 76 area. The older ones 72 and older were a short hood, this one has the flat uppers on the sides that came in around mid 70s. Some 73-74s had a lip if I remember correctly..... But, I'm at work, trying to find missing money and the brain isn't that dialed into Jeeps right now.... I've had plenty to try and remember. Anyway, it's a KILLER body, really good for 1.9 guys. I grabbed it out of the shipping box the day it came in to Finishline (local guys know who I'm talking about).... Also, what do you guys think, it looks like RJ got all the old Bolink forms. They have some of the old Bolink bodies on there. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXUYX9&P=SM Last edited by Mule; 08-15-2008 at 10:35 AM. Reason: add link |

Yep, that's my guess. The Jeep body is thick plastic too. Nice and tough! I found an old Bolink body in a little shop in KS a few months ago and got it for $4.00 It was an old pre Formula 1 body.... Talk about history. |

Yes they did buy them...a few years back actually. back when I was into drag cars (5yr ago) all their website said was that they had bought the rights and molds and to check back later.

YEp they are 1/12th scale, the actual Legends cars were kinda like caricatures of the full size cars... it is a spec class of racing, I dont know if they still run them in 1/1 or not always wanted to go see one of the races as it harkens back to the 60's and 50's style of stock car racing...
