| Finally Got One!
I've been wanting a Slash since they came out. I finally got the chance to get one. Got it used minus electronics. Traxxas TQ3 Radio(I'd trade for a decent FM radio if anyone wants to) Trinity 19T motor 3000mah Stick Pack Novak Rooster ESC The guy I bought it from is also giving me a servo with it. Completely tore it down, cleaned it up, and installed my electronics in it. I really want to get a Proline "Hardcore" body for it. Sorry the pics are so dark, once I get my servo in, I'll get some pictures of it tearing up the back yard Thanks, Shaun |

Looks good! If you plan to hit any water, get the receiver box (it looks like it was removed): http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXUVY8&P=7 |

This is the greatest RC vehicle in the world. Alot of fun, I ended up putting a 11 turn in it, and it is sweet.

They are a great deal for sure. Especially for the $. Pretty hassle free to run and just have a good time. My kids seem to like drivin it around in training mode. Other than my 5b, I would have to chalk it up as one of the funnest I have owned. I pulled my brushless set up out for the winter, and tossed in one of these. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJAJ4&P=ML great lil motor for brushed. Tons better than the Titan. Drop a 13t pinion in and enjoy! |

I borrowed a 13 turn motor, and a 6 cell matched 3700mah pack from a guy I know today, this thing really flies, the 11 turn was gone before I even put it in the truck. I'm amazed how tough this thing is, I have been jumping it off of a skate board ramp for the last hour, and the only thing I have done is popped off a shock cap!

Things are about to get exciting, I order a 2S 20C 4900mAh lipo for it, and a Novak Smart-Stop 2 cell lipo cut-off.

I have a MM and a 5700 in mine. Redonculous actually. I can only run it on a 2 cel lipo or 6 cell Nimh or it is too fast for the track. Too much fun bashing on 11.1 though! FWIW, if you run it in snow, or a moderately wet area the whole inside will be soaked. I need to fab up some inner fenders... | |

Cool, looks good. I managed to break it today, I decided to see how high and far we could get it, turns out the rear shock tower doesn't like hitting the pavement from 5'. I went ahead and spent some of my birthday money and bought RPM Front A-arms RPM Rear A-arms RPM Front Shock Tower RPM Rear Shock Tower When I have some more cash I'm going the get the Rear Hubs, Caster Blocks, and Knuckles. On Friday my neighbor and I are going to go check out a local skate park with are slashes. Its a cool park, its all cement. Last edited by Shaun; 12-24-2008 at 08:11 PM. |
