I'm getting my first drifter here soon. I've been told they are a blast to drive. Nice cars. |

So, do you just use hard compound tyres so they'll slide or what? I have some touring cars that could be set up to drift, but after spending so much time trying to get it NOT to slide I'm not sure how to convert to a drifter.

some drifters use 2" abs or pvc pipe to make thier tires out of..makes sliding around (drifting) easier. I'm still working on mine..but its going to be a tourer not a drifter, put a mamba max with a 5700kv motor and a 3s lipo...should be pretty snappy. Its a redcat, some might say its a cheap car..but I tore into it...nothing about this car is a cheap, full bearings, aluminum parts, CV's and shaft drive.... good looking rides 3speed...the first one with the lights, do they run off your battery or do you have a external battery suppling power to them? |

you can plug them into the recever or like i have them hooked up to a batt pack, i use tamiya's drifttech tires, yokomo zero's an hpi t drifts non slicks(scale drift tires) an there hard no give to mount them you have to boil them i found the drifttech an the hpi work the best for me with the 19 turn i have been drifting for 3 years i know my way around a drift car i also know crawler's but i know drifters more lol if anyone needs help setting there car up send me a pm im willing to help someone out
